Greetings from

Park Elementary School!

Park School is a beautifully renovated art deco building located in the center of Mill Valley across from Boyle Park. There are 307 students representing 209 families, with 19 certificated staff members and numerous support staff working together to provide an optimum learning environment. The entire school community works collaboratively to provide a safe, caring environment where uniqueness and differences are respected, and all children are supported to reach their full potential. Staff and parents alike are committed to a tradition of academic excellence and social development.

Teachers provide a positive environment that supports self esteem and encourages students to be problem solvers and critical thinkers. Students are both nurtured and challenged. Park School provides project based learning through cross grade science buddies, the study of local bio-regions, a school wide “Oceans Project”, the creation of a school garden area, and the integration of technology into the curriculum. Parent participation is encouraged and appreciated.

Meaningful involvement through PTA, The Leadership Team, and within the classrooms supports student learning. Opportunities for families to come together are the Kindergarten Picnic, Meet the Teacher Night, The Fall Potluck, The Variety Show, The Art Show, The Lemonade Social, The Spring Fundraiser, and Open House. Working collaboratively, the Park School community has a mission to develop compassionate, lifelong learners prepared to be responsible participants in a democratic society with a global awareness.
